Miranda Jillissen changed course three years ago and decided to make her dream come true with her catering business in France. She works as a permanent chef at Chateau d'Aix and organizes weddings and parties. Miranda is totally going to pamper you with her culinary skills this week. She is the contact person for all your questions about this retreat.

The castle exudes the rustic atmosphere of the past with the comforts of today. It has a breathtaking view of the castle garden, the farm fields and the green hills. On this estate, where it is still really quiet, you will completely relax and find anew the inspiration you need to continue writing.
Besides a peaceful work environment, you will also enjoy true luxury here. Alternate work with a dip in the large private outdoor pool, start the day with a gentle yoga class, enjoy a massage or taste Cahorst wines at one of the many wineries in the area.

Jasmijn Derckx: 'I myself have already followed a number of writing weeks. A writing week with intensive guidance can be great if you are just starting to write. I noticed that when I returned home after a writing week, I felt the need for extra time but then quickly had to get back to work, which quickly pushed my good intentions into the background. I therefore offer a week of rest and time. It's just wonderful to be taken care of, to stay in beautiful surroundings and if you want to get extra guidance. In fact, I can be booked as your writing coach this week. '

Writing coach

If you need additional coaching, want to spar about your book, want editing, tips and advice regarding publishing your book, social media etc. you can book me by the hour at a reduced hourly rate. Since both beginners and advanced writers are going along, it's nice to get private coaching instead of a scheduled workshop that may not be tailored to your needs.

Above all, we hope for a relaxing week so that you come home fully recharged. And it doesn't matter at all if you don't come to write or work. It is a beautiful area: if you want to enjoy hiking, reading and wine tasting, of course you can!

All-inclusive

The program begins Friday afternoon, June 13, with a welcome drink and dinner. Included in the price and ends on June 20 after early breakfast (check out before 10:30 a.m.).

• 7 days lodging, breakfast, lunch, dinner. All drinks included.

Price p.p. € 1495,00 incl. VAT for a week all-inclusive in a room with private bathroom. If you stay with 2 persons in one room you pay € 1295,00 incl. VAT per person.

Price per person € 1440,00 incl. VAT for a week all-inclusive in a room with shared bathroom. If you stay with 2 persons in one room you pay € 1240,00 incl. VAT.

The number of participants depends on the occupation of the rooms and will be between 7 and 15 people.

Extra options

• Massage. By a qualified masseuse. € 60.00 per hour
• Writing coaching in the tower room by Jasmijn Derckx. Price on request.
• Transportation to and from the airport. We can arrange a cab van. Cost is between € 60.00-80.00 for a one-way trip (Bergerac Airport).

The travel costs (flight/train/car) are at your own expense and we recommend that you take out your own travel and cancellation insurance.

Cancellation: We recommend that you take out cancellation insurance. Down payment on booking is € 250,00. As soon as we know if the writing retreat will take place you will receive a message from us so you can book your trip.

The minimum number of participants is 7.
